September continues to be a strong month in terms of quality and quantity for the Nintendo Download!
September remains a strong month for games releasing on the 3DS and Wii U eShop. There’s some virtual console games, some retail releases along with the September Nindies. There’s a number of higher profile games to cover so are you ready? Let’s jump right into the action!
This week brings another close call between the 3DS and Wii U. The Wii U side was blessed again with one more title than the 3DS. This week another Wii classic game drops in, and that is Donkey Kong Country Returns. In case you missed it on Wii and the 3D remake on the 3DS, you can now barrel through some tough platforming levels as DK and Diddy as the Country series had made a return. After you check this one out, there is a sequel on the Wii U with Tropical Freeze. Leading the Nindies this week is Severed. You control a one-armed warrior named Sasha and using purely touch-based controls to swipe your way through puzzles and battles. Also available are Laser Blaster, TITANS TOWER, Double Breakout, and Wings of Magloryx.
Headlining the 3DS side is the retail release of Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse. Take control of a novice demon hunter who dies and manages to be returned to the ruined world by a god named Dagda. Joining the highlights are the virtual console releases of Final Fight 2 and Final Fight 3. These are classic SNES beat’em up style games. Can you have Haggar take control of Metro City once and for all? Also fighting in are River City: Tokyo Rumble and Noah’s Cradle.
