Nintendo Finally Outlines E3 Coverage

E3 is a special event for the majority of the dedicated gaming population. It covers all sorts of announcements, for new or upcoming games, and also covers playable and non-playable demos. Nintendo has been very quiet on their coverage leading many to believe to not expect much this year. They previously announced that the upcoming Legend of Zelda game for Wii U was going to be their sole focus this year, making many of us question if they are foregoing the digital event. We can put those fears to rest as Nintendo has finally outlined their coverage over their two day period. There are even rumors that they will reveal more of their back catalog during a conference video coverage event later on in the year, but that has yet to be truly confirmed. Nevertheless, we are very excited to see what Nintendo has brought to E3.

Day 1 of E3 for Nintendo will begin at 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET) on Tuesday, June 14. This coverage will only include two games (okay, officially three). It will be kicked off with a live-stream of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon for the Nintendo 3DS which both are currently set to release this holiday season. Following this live stream is the coverage of the upcoming Wii U Legend of Zelda game. My personal thought is we will get an official name for this game!

Day 2 will be an additional Treehouse Live stream event, but will focus on other upcoming games arriving on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. The coverage will begin Wednesday, June 15 at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET) and be kicked off with a special Pokémon GO developer Q&A session. Games to be covered are Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. I am unsure if there will be any other games besides those mentioned. It seems like this could be the ‘digital event’, or perhaps they are not doing any sort of event. If it is, are these the only games covered, or should we be expecting other announcements? Their press release only included the above information.

Any thoughts on their coverage? Any games you’d like to see be covered that we know about (Paper Mario: Color Splash)? Any plans to watch these live streams?
