Pokkén Tournament will be compatible with every existing amiibo, Nintendo revealed on the game’s website today.
Nintendo had previously announced amiibo compatibility for Pokkén Tournament, with the fighter Shadow Mewtwo unlockable through a special edition amiibo card bundled with first edition copies of the upcoming Wii U game. All other amiibo, including non-Pokémon figures, will be used to unlock “in-game items,” though just what those items are remains to be announced.
